Dive into the adorable world of “101 Dalmatians Kids,” where young performers can live out their fantasies of heroism and adventure. This program focuses on building confidence, enhancing vocal techniques, and nurturing team skills in a highly relational and contemporary setting.

Auditions: Your Chance to Shine in “Willy Wonka Jr.” or “101 Dalmatians Kids”

This is your moment to shine, and this year, we’re bringing the audition to you – right in the comfort of your own home!

All auditions must be video taped and submitted by January 5, 2024.

Here’s how to cast your spell in the audition:

Step 1: Prepare Your Slate
Your video audition starts with a slate. Stand before the camera, flash that star-worthy smile, and clearly state your first and last name. Let us know your grade and which show you’re auditioning for. Then, announce the song you’ve chosen to sing and the monologue you’ll be performing.

Step 2: Sing Your Heart Out
Select a 15-30 second snippet of a song from any musical that best showcases your vocal range. Remember, this is your chance to impress, so make sure you sing with a track or an accompanist—acapella performances will not be accepted.

Step 3: Monologue Magic

Bring your character to life with a 30-second monologue. You can unleash your creativity and choose one yourself, or if you prefer some guidance, here are some options we’ve compiled just for you:

Step 4: Record and Upload Your Video
Once you’re confident with your performance, record your audition and upload it to the respective links:

What to Expect: Prepare to dive into the heart of the story! Callbacks are your time to truly shine and show us how you connect with the characters and songs from the show. During your callback, expect to:

  • Perform scenes and songs directly from “Willy Wonka Jr.” or “101 Dalmatians Kids”.

  • Learn and present a dance combination, so wear comfortable clothing that lets you move freely and express yourself to the fullest.

  • Engage with fellow performers and directors, demonstrating your ability to take direction and work as part of a team.

Preparation is Key: To give your all, familiarity with the material is crucial. Check out the songs from each show on YouTube to get a head start on learning the music and feeling the rhythm!
